And I changed it to scan when changes were detected in a library, but set it to just scan the folder that changed. With the previous version of Plex server, I had the scan frequency set to every 15 minutes, now I have it reduced to daily. they ramp up to 100% speed when this process is doing whatever it is doing. I can tell it is happening by listening to my CPU and case fans.
